This year, the big parade took place on Tuesday February 20 and saw three groups pass. Between Saturday and Tuesday, nearly 25 small groups defied the strong gusts to animate the streets of Mindelo to the sound of the batucadas, these percussion groups that rehearse throughout the year to be ready on D-Day.
